I have two different Casinos: the Standard model (the burst finish) and the Inspired By Lennon model (the natural finish). In fact, I think Paul McCartney ended up with one too, didn't he? If I remember right, John Lennon and George Harrison each got one at or about the same time, and a couple three years later John had his finish removed, thinking it'd allow the body to flex a little more. After missing the '65, I made an offer on one of those, but was turned down. There's the Elitists, which I think are ~ 15hundy, and you can still find some of the limited edition Lennon models that were made in both burst and natural that are ~ 2500. There's an 'Inspired by Lennon' for, I think a grand. Couldn't believe how light it is.Įpiphone makes a few that are above the stock model. In fact same guy who sold me the Special had me take home his powder blue Casino and set it up for him. Sold the guitar a couple months ago and miss those pups bad. Put a set of Seymour Duncan Vintage P-90's in it. Then bought a Buddy's Gib LP Special w/P-100's. ![]() ![]() I'd really been wanting a Casino and got outbid on a real pretty '65 a year ago. ![]()
